Professional experience: Prior to joining the Places Team, Brandy was a computer analyst team leader and wrote the rating software for Major Insurance Corporations. She put her career aside for a few years to raise three children and then followed a friend’s advise to indulge in a career that would complement her passion for the Lowcountry - Real Estate. She has thoroughly enjoyed it and is very grateful to her friend and to Places!
Recent transactions of note: Along with Ashley Truluck, listing a unique deepwater property on Abbapoola Creek on Johns Island. Helping many of our young managers and friends buy their first home and take advantage of the Homebuyers Tax Credit and the low interest rates.
Favorite places in the region: Boating to our restaurant, The Charleston Crab House and sitting on the outside deck at dusk – gorgeous sun! Crabbing and Jumping off of our dock at home. Strolling the King Street Boutiques and just being on the boat with my family watching the kids ski and tube.
Favorite places outside the region: Rum Cay in the southern Bahamas, Napa and Sonoma Valleys, St Johns Island and St. Martin Island.
Community involvement: Active member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church - headed fundraising campaign, Parents Guild at Porter Gaud School, Sponsorship of Mount Pleasant and City of Charleston league team sports. Hit a Lick for Nick - College Scholarship Fundraiser for High School Seniors.
Family: Brandy and her husband John own the Charleston Crab Houses. They have three children, Kendall, Cary Ellis, and Ty. The Keeners reside on Headquarters Plantation on Johns Island, SC.
