Oyster Season has officially arrived in the Lowcountry. Rejoice!
The oyster festivities, accessories, and recipes are endless. To make the most of the bounty, take a little time to explore the local oyster scene here in Charleston.
Eater.com has a full list of area restaurants where you can enjoy local oysters in a plethora of ways. They range from the high end (The Ordinary and Peninsula Grill) to the everyday (Leon’s Oyster Shop and 39 Rue de Jean).
If you are feeling like really celebrating the oyster, be sure to check out the 33rd Lowcountry Oyster Festival hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association. It is the world’s largest oyster festival and has been named as one of the top twenty events in the Southeast.
Don’t forget to gear up with all the right shucking tools for the season. Williams Knife Co. is the local favorite for stellar and beautiful oyster knives.
With its ample porches and outdoor fire pit lounge, 6 Saturday in I’On is the perfect home to host the traditional Lowcountry oyster roast. Click here to learn more and schedule your private showing.
