Happy Fourth of July! However you choose to spend your Independence Day in the Lowcountry, Places Real Estate wishes you a safe and happy holiday full of warm memories.
If taking in a fireworks display is part of your day’s festive line up, here are the area’s best and brightest.
Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant: Named by the New York Times as, “One of the Best Fourth of July Parties,” Patriots Point packs in patriotic fun for the whole family. About 25,000 people gather to watch the fireworks set off from the USS Yorktown Flight Deck. This year premier seating is available aboard the USS Yorktown. But don’t worry if you can get a seat, this unforgettable display can be seen over the Charleston Harbor from just about any location along the waterfront, and then some.
Folly Beach: Celebrate Independence Day the Folly way. The perfect way to end an Independence Day on the beach is, of course, with an amazing fireworks display overhead, the crashing waves on the shore, and with your toes in the sand. Head over to the Folly Beach County Park on the west end of the island to enjoy the show, starting at 9:30pm.
The Joe: What could be more American than Fourth of July at the ballpark. The Charleston RiverDogs take on the Rome Braves with a special start time of 6:35pm. Stick around after the game as they light up the sky over the Ashley River with post-game fireworks. Click here for tickets and more information.
North Charleston, Isle of Palms, and Kiawah Island also offer fantastic displays. If you position yourself just right, say on the water, you can easily take in more than one show tonight.
2823 Houston in North Charleston boasts a nice lawn, perfect for spreading out a blanket and catching the North Charleston fireworks show with your neighbors over a glass of sweet tea. Click here for more information and to schedule your private showing.
